This community was shocked Friday morning to hear of the sudden death of Mrs. 
Warren Crane.  Although Mrs. Crane had been a resident of Orleans but a few 
years by her sweet disposition and winning way she had won the friendship and 
esteem of all with whom she came in contact.   Clyde Beach and Warren Crane 
accompanied the remains to her old home in Hebron, Ill., for burial Monday.  
They have the sympathy of the entire community.

Mrs. Crane was born in Orleans county, New York.  Two years ago last November 
she was married to Warren Crane and came to Orleans to live.  She was 42 years 
of age.  J. M. York, C. R. Holmes, Edward Wooldridge and John Lambertson acted 
as pallbearers.

The Orleans Atheneum met Saturday evening and adopted the following 
resolution:  “Whereas, the Grim Reaper Death has invaded the home of one of 
our members, therefore be it resolved that in consideration of these sad 
circumstances we hereby extend the heartfelt sympathy of this society to Mr. 
Warren Crane and the family and postpone the evening program until our next 
meeting and adjourn for one week.”
