Ionia Sentinel Standard, 12 Jul 1969

A long time Belding resident Perry Crankshaw, 88, of 513 Vincent, Belding died 
Friday at Belding Christian Nursing home.  Born January 1, 1881, in Lapeer 
county he was the son of Jacob and Maria Crankshaw.  March 16, 1904 he was 
married in Ionia to Ollie Wherry who died in 1957.  He had been a resident of 
Belding the past 68 years and a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus 
Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Austin of Belding; one sister, Mrs. 
Edna Purdy of Des Plaines, Ill.; one granddaughter; six great grandchildren and 
five great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Huffman funeral home in Belding.  
Elder Varian Bauman will officiate and interment will be at Lainsburg cemetery.
