Sunday morning at 2:45 the spirit of Mrs. Frank Crankshaw left its earthly habitation which had long been shattered by the ravages of that dread disease consumption and winged its flight to the Master’s home beyond, passing to her rest in the full assurance of a Christians hope, and as one said who was with her when the summons came, she died the most beautiful death she had ever witnessed. Etta Matilda Tift was born October 23, 1885, and was at the time of her death 21 years and 12 days old. She was married to Frank Crankshaw a little over a year ago and last April was stricken with the dread disease that culminated in her death in the early bloom of womanhood. The funeral was held at the Free Methodist church on Tuesday at 2:00 o’clock and the remains were laid to rest in the old cemetery. She is survived by a devoted father and mother, one brother and one sister who mourn her early death. Rev. J.N. Burse preached the funeral sermon.
