Last rites are held for Eugene Crankshaw, 45

   Funeral services were held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in the Morris Funeral home 
in Saranac for Eugene Crankshaw, 45, of Saranac.

   The Saranac man was found dead of carbon monoxide Friday evening, more 
than a day after he disappeared from his home, Ionia troopers revealed on 
Saturday. Two Greenville men found Crankshaw's truck parked in a field, a 
short distance west of Morrison Lake.

   Mr. Crankshaw is survived by his wife, Beulah; two stepsons, Douglas 
Hewitt of Saranac, and Clare Hewitt of Lowell; four grandchildren; his 
mother, Mrs. Mary Crankshaw; one brother, Earl of Gowen; and three sisters.
