Cranson, 66, veteran of World War I, will be held from the Burns Funeral Home here Friday afternoon at 2. Mr. Cranson passed away at the Saginaw Veteran’s Hospital Tuesday, September 8, at 12:30 following a long illness. Burn in North Shade township, Gratiot Count, October 14, 1892, he has spent most of his life in this community. For many years he served as night watchman for the village. Rev. George Kelsey, pastor of the Carson City Methodist church, will officiate at the services, with the Carson City American Legion conducting military rites. Interment will be in West Side cemetery, Hubbardston. Surviving are the widow, Josie; two stepchildren, Ross Miller of Carson City and Mrs. Lonnie Williams of Middleton; and two brothers, Munlee and Norwood Cranson of Grand Ledge.
