The Carson City Gazette, Friday, January 2, 1920
Samuel Cranson died at the home of his son, S. A. Cranson Saturday, Dec. 27.  
Mr. Cranson was 94 years old.  He had been in good health and went to bed 
feeling good the night before and the family found him dead in the morning.  
He has been a life long citizen of this place.  The funeral was held in the M. 
E. church Tuesday afternoon and interment was in the East Side cemetery.
