Former Resident of Lake Odessa. The Only Brother with Several Sisters. Thomas Crapo, a civil war veteran, who a number of years ago made his home in this vicinity, died at the Soldier’s Home in Grand Rapids Tuesday morning, death having been caused by hiccups. His illness was of four days’ duration. The body was brought here Wednesday night accompanied by his daughter, Mrs. Maud Grey of Ionia. The funeral was conducted by the Rev. Isaac Mourer at the Board of Commerce Rooms Thursday morning at 10 o’clock and interment made in Lakeside cemetery. Mr. Crapo was a brother to Mrs. Hugh Potts here, also to the former Mrs. Henry Van Houten and Mrs. Wallace Lovewell who have been dead for several years.
