Ionia County News - Thursday, Oct. 29, 1953

Richard E. Cravens, 62, 215 Rich Street, Ionia, died in Blodgett Hospital, Grand 
Rapids, late Wednesday afternoon, October 19.

He had been a patient there for five weeks of coronary arteriosclerosis.

Rev. C.O. Adams, of the First Christian church, officiated at the funeral service 
held Saturday afternoon from Boynton's. Graveside service was held Monday morning in

Kokomo,, Indiana, and burial there in the family lot in Crown Point cemetery.

Mr. Cravens is survived by his wife, Alta, Ionia; a brother, Hugh, in Indiana; two 
nephews, Jackson Cravens, Colo.; and Richard Cravens, Yale University, New Haven, 
Conn.
