The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, February 12, 1929
Mrs. Florence A. Crawford, widow of the late Capt. E. C. Crawford, who for 30 
years was the Ionia county surveyor, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
Frank Gardner, Boston, Massachusetts, Monday, where she had been living since 
the death of her husband in 1920.  Mrs. Crawford was the daughter of the late 
Mr. and Mrs. W. Z. Blanchard and was born in Lyons 84 years ago.  She spent 
the greater part of her life in Ionia and was a member of the W. R. C. Order 
of Eastern Star, Pythian Sisters, and St. Johns’ Episcopal Church. She leaves 
four children, Mrs. Frank Gardner, Boston, Massachusetts, Robert J. Crawford, 
Seild, British Columbia; Daisy Crawford, New York; George Crawford, Belding.  
It is expected that the funeral services will be held in Boston and that the 
interment will take place in Ionia, but the plans for the services have not 
been completed.
