The body will be brought to Ionia this afternoon and will be taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. John Beattie, 132 Lafayette street. The funeral announcement will not be made until Monday. Mrs. Cressy is also survived by one daughter, Miss Martha Cressy, of Grand Rapids. Mrs. Cressy and daughter resided in Ionia until about a year ago. Subsequent Publication: Monday, November 10, 1924 The funeral service for Mrs. Grace Cressy will be held from the residence of her sister, Mrs. John Beattie, 138 Lafayette street, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will take place at Highland Park cemetery. Rev. W. K. Spencer will officiate. Members of Queen Esther chapter, O.E.S., will attend the service in a body. Mrs. Cressy, whose death occurred in Grand Rapids Saturday, had always been a resident of Ionia except for a little over a year. Mrs. Cressy, who before her marriage was Miss Grace Allured, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Allured, was born in Ionia March 24, 1875. Had she lived until next March Mrs. Cressy would have been 50 years of age. Mrs. Cressy attended the Ionia public schools, and later attended college at Glasgow, Kentucky. She was a member of the First Baptist church of this city, and a member of Queen Esther chapter, O.E.S., Ionia Shrine, order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, and of Beatrice Rebekah lodge No. 100. Her death resulted Saturday at 12:50 from complication of diseases following an illness of several weeks. Mrs. Cressy is survived by one daughter, Miss Martha Cressy, also of Grand Rapids. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. John Beattie, Lafayette street, and two brothers, William Allured of Billings, Montana, and Sylvester Allured, of Cima, California.
