Y., April 19, 1820. Was married Aug. 16, 1840 to Silas Crippen and came in Sept. of the same year to North Plains, Ionia county to the farm where she lived until Sept., 1874, since when she has resided with her daughter, Mrs. Mont Spaulding in Orleans until her death which occurred Feb. 4, 1909. Twin daughters were born to them one of whom died in childhood. The remains were taken to the North Plains Union church where services were conducted by Rev. Will of Muir, who spoke words of comfort to her friends and old neighbors and the flower laden casket was laid away in the North Plains cemetery, near the place which was her home so many years, beside her husband who died in 1857. She was the oldest member of the Ionia county pioneer society.
