The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Tuesday, September 2, 1919

William R. Cripps was born in Germany, Oct. 22, 1864, and died at his home in 
Berlin township, Aug. 19, 1919, at the age of 54 years, 9 months, 27 days.  He 
came to Michigan in 1882, and on Feb. 13, 1909, he was united in marriage with 
Susie A. Butler.  He leaves to mourn his loss a wife and brother, and many 
friends.

Funeral services were conducted from the house at 2 o’clock Aug. 21, by Rev. 
Fisher.  The pall bearers were Millard Mitchell, Geo. Mitchell, Walter 
Brickley and E. T. Butler.  Interment in Letts cemetery.

Card of Thanks.—We wish t thank friends and neighbors for the kindness and 
sympathy shown us during the illness and at the death of our husband and 
brother, for the words of comfort spoken by Rev. Fisher, the singers, friends 
for their beautiful floral offerings and the Berlin Center Aid society.
