Ionia Sentinel Standard, 27 May 1957

Lynn R. Crispin, 70, of Olympia, Wash., died Sunday morning at Veterans
hospital, Camp White, at Medford, Oregon.  Born in Ionia September 4, 1886, he
was a son of Jonathan R. and Caroline Crispin and attended Ionia schools.  In
his early life, he moved to Tacoma, Wash.  Mr. Crispin was a first lieutenant in
field artillery during World War I and after his discharge was employed by
Consolidated Gas Co. for a number of years.  He then moved to Olympia, where he
was manager of a department store until retiring.  Mr. Crispin was a member of
the First Baptist church of Ionia and also a member of Masonic lodge.

Surviving are his sister, Miss Ethel Crispin of Ionia; a brother, Edwin Crispin
of Detroit; two nephews, a grand nephew and a grand niece.  

Body will be returned to Ionia and arrangements will be announced later by the
Stone-Kauffman funeral home.
