Crispin, 70, of Olympia, Wash., died Sunday morning at Veterans hospital, Camp White, at Medford, Oregon. Born in Ionia September 4, 1886, he was a son of Jonathan R. and Caroline Crispin and attended Ionia schools. In his early life, he moved to Tacoma, Wash. Mr. Crispin was a first lieutenant in field artillery during World War I and after his discharge was employed by Consolidated Gas Co. for a number of years. He then moved to Olympia, where he was manager of a department store until retiring. Mr. Crispin was a member of the First Baptist church of Ionia and also a member of Masonic lodge. Surviving are his sister, Miss Ethel Crispin of Ionia; a brother, Edwin Crispin of Detroit; two nephews, a grand nephew and a grand niece. Body will be returned to Ionia and arrangements will be announced later by the Stone-Kauffman funeral home.
