Ionia Sentinel Standard, 19 Feb 1927

Alex Criss, who has lived in Ionia more than a quarter of a century, died at
12:15 Sunday morning.  He lived in a small house a short distance off South
Jefferson street, near the Pere Marquette shops.

He was born 66 years ago February 12 in Gratiot county and had always lived in
Michigan.  Since living in Ionia his occupation had been farming and gardening.
 He had been suffering from a cold the larger part of the winter and last
Saturday while at work was taken worse.

His only relative is a son, William Criss, aged seven, who is in a home in the
southern part of the state.  It is expected that he will be buried Monday
afternoon.

[Transcriber's Note:  There is a notation on the obituary card that he was
buried in Highland Park Cemetery.]
