He had not been well since he fell some months ago on the ice and broke his hip. He was born December 25, 1888 in Orange township, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Croel. He was married October 19, 1910 to Edna Lowry and the most of their married life has been spent in Lyons. Mr. Croel was employed for several years by the Ypsilanti Reed Co. of Ionia. He is survived by his wife, Edna, two sons, Victor Croel, Grand Rapids; Rev. Karl Croel of Indianapolis, Ind.; three daughters, Mrs. Donald Burger, Muir; Mrs. Alex Vitick, Detroit; Mrs. Gerald Skelding, Ionia; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Shaw-Rivett funeral home in Muir. Rev. Gerald Hedlund of Lyons Methodist church will officiate and burial will be in Tuttle cemetery.
