Mr. Cronkrite had been in poor poor health for some time and for the past several months had been compelled to relinquish the management of his farm which had been his home for many years. The late Mr. Cronkrite was born in Danby and served during the Civil war with the cavalry. At the end of that conflict he returned to the place of his birth and a short time later went to California where he was engaged in mining. Returning to Danby township fifteen years later he was united in marriage to Clara Richardson. From this union two children were born, William, who passed away two years and Mrs. Ethel Hill of Danby. He is also survived by a widow, four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Nancy Gray of San Francisco, Mrs. Ella Eevey of Holland, Mrs. Fidelia Horner and Mrs. Mary Wooden of Portland and Charles Cronkrite of Sebewa. Funeral services were held from the residence, Tuesday. Interment was made in the Danby cemetery.
