Marguerite (Wedderburn) Crooks, 102, of Ionia, passed away Sept. 13, 2002 in
Ionia.  She was born Oct. 10, 1899 in Lakeview, the daughter of Albert and Grace
(Kibbee) Seat.  She graduated from Lakeview High Schools.  She first married
Lawrence Wedderburn and then went on to marry Gilbert Crooks.  Both husbands
preceded her in death.  She was a member of First Baptist Church of Ionia and
was a life member of Royal Neighbors of America.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie (Clare) Confer of Ionia; sister, Dorothy
Burns of Six Lakes; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three
great, great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by sons, Max Wedderburn
and Jack Wedderburn; sisters, Monnah Hafey and Mable Renolds.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia
with Rev. James Bennett officiating.  Interment Lakeview Cemetery.  The family
will receive friends and family from 1 p.m. until the time of service on Monday
at the funeral home.  Anyone wishing may make a memorial contribution to First
Baptist Church of Ionia.  Envelopes available at the funeral home.
