Kay was born in Lansing on Dec. 24, 1942, to George and Catherine (Blackmer) Cook. she graduated from Lake Odessa High School in 1961. For the past 25 years, Kay had been employed by MRHA (Michigan Retail Hardware Association). She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. Kay is survived by her children, Ron and Leslee Crosby, Kris Crosby, and Raymond Crosby; grandchildren, Cody, Ashley, Troy, Zachary, Raymond Jr., and Alexander Crosby; sisters, Georgia Catt and Pamela Cook; brother, John and Jane Cook; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa, where the Rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. The funeral mass and committal service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18, at the St. Edwards Catholic Church in Lake Odessa. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to a Hospice organization of the donor’s choice.
