Raymond Cross dies at 84
Raymond Cross died July 23 at his home, at the age of 84. He was born in September,
1896 in Ionia County, the son of Leonard Cross and Della Aves.

He was a Veteran of World War I and the American Legion Post 129.

He is survived by his wife, Ann' one son, Clare Cross of Portland; four daughters, 
Mrs.Kathryn Weller, Lake Odessa; Mrs. Doris Shattuck and Mrs. Dorothy Fedewa both of
Portland; Mrs. Barbara Day of Potterville; 30 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren;
three brothers,  Ralph and Howard both of Sunfield and Allen of Portland.

Scripture service was held Sunday from the Neller funeral Home. Funeral Mass was
held July 27 at St. Patricks Church with rev. Fr. Donal Weber officiating.

Burial was in Portland Cemetery.
