The Lake Odessa Wave, November 1, 1928
Frank Cross, formerly of Sebewa, was burned to death in his tent two miles 
east of Bellevue last Saturday night.  Some young men visited him in the 
evening and stated he was all right when they left him.  However, the morning 
found him burned to death.  He had been ditching in that vicinity and living 
in a tent.  It is thought the tent caught from a kerosene heater.

Mr. Cross leaves a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Seybold of Woodland township and a 
brother, Leonard Cross, of Sebewa. 

The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the undertaking parlors in Sunfield.
