Ionia County News - Thursday Feb. 19, 1942

Leonard Dean Cross, 74, died at his farm home in Sebewa township, where he had 
lived for 70 years. He came here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Cross from 
Ionia when he was four years old. On July 6, 192, he was united in marriage 
with Della Aves of Sebewa, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. 
Clayton Clark of Sebewa, four sons, Ray and Ralph of Portland, Howard and Allen 
who reside on the farm and 18 grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the 
Mapes funeral home in Sunfield, conducted by the Rev. John Bullock. Interment 
at East Sebewa cemetery.
