The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the late home. Rev. William L. Halladay, pastor of the Congregational church, was in charge. Burial was made in Saranac cemetery. She was born in New York state on October 12, 1847, and came to Michigan when a child. The greater part of her life was spent in Ionia county. She was the widow of Henry Crothers. Besides a daughter, Mrs. Rosa Horrocks of Saranac, and a son, Ed. Crothers of Woolcotville, Indiana, she leaves two brothers and one sister. A grandson, Will Rogers, made his home with her.
