The funeral services will be held at the Knapp residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. Burial will be in the North Plains cemetery. Mr. Crowell was born in New York and came to Michigan at the age of eight, locating at Fenton. At 18 he came to Ionia county, residing here the greater part of the time, but living for four years in Montcalm county. Mrs. Crowell died 23 years ago and a son, Frank, died 15 years ago. Five daughters survive. They are Mrs. Jerry C. Hayes, Detroit; Mrs. H. Glenn Holmes, Lansing; Mrs. E. Lulu Snyder and Mrs. Harry S. Knapp, Ionia, and Mrs. Earl G. Hagadorn, Long Beach, Cal. He also leaves six grandchildren. He was a retired farmer, having lived for years in North Plains township. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church and a conscious laborer for the church of his faith as long as his health permitted.
