Charles E. Thies officiating. Mr. Crowell came to Lake Odessa from Lansing where he had the first “drive in” filling oil station ever put in that city. He purchased the Alfred Root farm northwest of Lake Odessa and later a cottage and other property at the lake. When poor health came after his wife’s death he lived at different places in this village. He was a member of the local Masonic lodge. He is survived by a daughter Mrs. Dorothy Curtis and a step-daughter Mrs. Lee Boyle in Lake Odessa, and a brother at Mason.
