The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, August 6, 1909
Salinda H., wife of Henry Crowell, died at 12:20 this morning, at the home in 
North Plains, after a lingering illness.  She leaves a husband and six 
children; Jessie, wife of Jerry Hayes, Detroit; Ruth, wife of Glenn Holmes, 
Lansing, Lela, wife of Harry Knapp, Misses Lula and Ethel, and Frank, all of 
North Plains.  Deceased was 57 years of age, and was born in Michigan.  She 
was a daughter of the late John Taft, and a sister of George, Riley and Frank 
Taft.  Funeral at the home tomorrow at 2 p.m. sun time.  Interment, North 
Plains cemetery.
