RAY B. CROWNER
Ray B. Crowner, 52, 728 Forest street died unexpectedly Monday morning at the 
Ionia county Memorial hospital about one hour after he was admitted.

He was born October 10, 1903 in Buffalo, Okla., the son of Mr. and Mrs. 
William Crowner and had been working at the Ionia manufacturing Company for 
the past 32 years. 

Mr. Crowner came to Ionia in 1920 and was married to the former Bernice 
Sprague in 1923. He was a member of the Ionia Moose lodge.

Surviving besides his wife, Bernice, are two daughters, Mrs. Lorston 
(Marilyn) Peterman of Sheridan and Mrs. Darl (Carmen) Totten of Ionia; four 
grandchildren; four brothers, John, Dale, Walter and Earl Crowner all of 
California; two sisters, Mrs. Mileton Halderman of Fair View, Okla., and Mrs. 
Lucy Brisendine of May, Okla.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Myers 
funeral home with the Rev. Heath T. Goodwin officiating. 

Interment will be at Sheridan cemetery.
