Roberto (Ricardo) Cruz, 62, of Belding, passed away July 9, 2013 in Grand 
Rapids. He was born April 1, 1951 in Mexico, the  son of Julio and Petra 
(Quesada) Cruz. 

Ricardo married Patricia White on June 16, 1979 in Palo. He worked at Amway for 
34 years until health issues wouldn't allow home to work any longer. He was 
avid bass fisherman and a member of many fishing clubs. 

Ricardo is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Patricia Cruz of Belding; 
children, Amy (Josh) Knapp of Belding and Jose (Amber) Cruz of Kentwood; 
grandchildren, Jenna Knapp, Arianna Cruz, Dominic Cruz, and Xavier Cruz; 
father-in-law, Franklin White of Portland; brother, Mr. and Mrs. Jose Cruz of 
Mexico; sisters, Maria Alvarado of Ionia and Connie Gonzales of Florida; 
brother and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Julio and Petra Cruz; one sister, 
Virginia; and mother-in-law, Mary White. 

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 16 at Lake Funeral Home 
in Ionia wit Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating. Interment at Tuttle Cemetery. 
Visitation will be held Monday, July 15 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the 
funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Ricardo's name to St. 
Jude's Children's Hospital. Online condolences may be made at
