Ionia County News, 19 Jul 1934

Funeral rites were held Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Mary Culehen from the home
430 East Washington street.  Mrs. Culehen succumbed to a lingering illness on
Saturday evening at 9:30 o’clock.  She was born in New York state 66 years ago
and later came to Michigan.  She was a resident of Ionia for many years.

Mrs. Culehen’s husband was Joseph Culehen who died several years ago.  She is
survived by one son, J. Maxwell Culehen of Ionia.

Interment was in the family lot at Highland Park cemetery.  Relatives and
friends from away who attended the rites were Mr. and Mrs. John S. Wilson, Sr.,
Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson, Jr., Miss Mary Minty and Mrs. Frances FitzRandolph and
Mr. and Mrs. Smith of Lansing; Mrs. Neil Monckton and Mrs. Carroll, of Chicago;
Mrs. Miles Culehen of Detroit; Mrs. S.R. Hinds and Dr. Lucy Reynolds Smith of
Grand Rapids and Mr. and Mrs. Woodard, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clark and Miss
Bernice Woodard of Pontiac.
