J. Culp, 93, will be held from the home, 520 Union street, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Rev. H. A. Hansen, pastor of St. Johns Episcopal church, will officiate, and interment will be in the mausoleum at Highland park cemetery, where the Eastern Star of Ionia will be in charge of the commitment service. Mrs. Culp, the widow of Dr. J. J. Culp, Ionia veterinarian, died at 7:30 Monday morning in her home. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Townsend of Ionia and Mrs. Lillian Thomas of Cadillac; a sister Mrs. Cassie Morrison of Ionia; sister-in-law, Mrs. H. J. Culp, of Toronto, Can., and four nephews, Burdette Euen of Detroit, and William, Samuel and Bert Stubbs, of Caledon, Ontario. Mrs. Culp, who was Elizabeth Ann Morrison, was born February 20, 1853, the daughter of James and Elizabeth Jane Morrison of Canada. She was married to John J. Culp in Orangeville, Ontario, and shortly thereafter came with her husband to Ionia where they were located nearly 69 years. Dr. Culp died in June, 1934. For more than 40 years she has resided in the home on Union street where she died. Mrs. Culp was a member of the Ionia Eastern Star in which she was long active, and of St. Johns Episcopal church.
