December 15, 1949 CLARENCE CULP, 63 DIES UNEXPECTEDLY IN CALIFORNIA Clarence Culp, 3, died unexpectedly in a Redlands, California hospital Monday night where he was taken after he was discovered ill in his house trailer at the Gaylord Lapham home at Yucaipa, Cal. He with Richard Lapham had left here about a month ago to drive through to California where he expected to remain until Richard returned here in the spring. He was born in November, 1886 in Odessa township, son of the late Lincoln and Nellie Culp and had resided on the farm for many years. The last several years he had resided in Battle Creek with cousins there and had been employed there before leaving for California. Mr. Culp graduated from Lake Odessa High School with the class of 1904. The nearest survivor is a nephew Robert L.Haven. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 at thePickens chapel with burial in Lakeside cemetery. Rev. A.J. Putman officiated.
