Culp, Jr., 45, of 231 Hanline died Saturday evening at Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids following a heart attack. Born February 20, 1928, in Detroit, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick H. Culp Sr. November 23, 1946 he was married in Ionia to Arvonne McVicker. They lived all their married life in the Ionia area and he was employed at Michigan Reformatory 21 years. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the navy and was a member of Temple Baptist church. Surviving besides the wife, Arvonne, are two sons, Sepc 4 Michael Culp with the army in Germany and Mark of Ionia; daughter, Donna J. Culp of Ionia; two grandchildren, father, Frederick Culp of Florida; sister, Mrs. Donna Craft of Lyons; two brothers, James and David of Ionia. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Myers-Roetman funeral home. Rev. Burgess, former pastor of Temple Baptist church, will officiate and interment will be at Easton cemetery.
