Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 Sep 1973

Funeral services for Fred. H. Culp, Jr., were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. 
Gary Burgess, formerly with Ionia’s Temple Baptist church, officiating.

Graveside services were under the auspices of Ionia American Legion post who 
provided members of the firing squad including John Leland, Ralph Leland, 
William Cahill, Gerald Kellage, Zig Troms with LaVerne Sargeant in charge.  
Bearers included Lloyd Zeigler, Jack Hankins, Dwight Font, John Richards, 
Gordon Maltby and Dick Roth. 

Honorary bearers from the American Legion post included Otto Horrocks, Steve 
Hartman, Richard Kenyon, Vern Raab, Arlo Manley, with Joe Whorley and Steve 
Ackerson as buglers.  Raymond Moore, post commander assisted by William Crowley 
folded the American Flag for presentation to family members.  Burial was in 
Easton township cemetery.
