Ionia Sentinel Standard, 3 Nov 1969

A route 2, Fenwick man Robert L. Cummings, Jr., 35, died early Monday at Ionia
County Memorial hospital.  He was born September 17, 1931 in Mecosta county the
son of Robert L. Cummings, Sr. and Ruth Foote Cummings.  He attended school at
South LeValley and Ionia high school.  He was employed by Grand Truck Western
railroad company the past four years.

July 1963 he was married to Nancy Merriam who survives.  He also leaves a son,
Jody; parents Mr. and Mrs. Robert L. Cummings, Sr., of Long lake, Orleans; one
sister, Mrs. Gary Randall of Lyons and two brothers, William S. of Ionia and
Phillip of Muir.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Myers funeral home, Rev. Kenneth
Harger of Shiloh Community church will officiate and interment will be at Clear
Lake cemetery.  A memorial fund has been established for American Cancer fund.
