Lake Odessa Wave - March 16, 1978
          RITES HELD FOR R. CUNNINGHAM
   Mrs. Ruth A. Cunningham, age 93, of 7900 Cunningham Road, died Sunday, March 12,
1978 at the Barry 
County Medical Care Facility where she had been a patient for one week.
   Mrs. Cunningham was born December 10, 1884 in Campbell Township and was the
daughter of Joseph and 
Elizabeth (Lepard) Wortley.  She attended Beard School.  On August 26, 1906 she
married Ernest 
Cunningham in Lake Odessa.  Mr. Cunningham preceded her in death on May 19, 1955.
She was employed by 
the McCartney Grocery Store in Lake Odessa for six years prior to her marriage. 
Mrs. Cunningham was a 
member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Woodland.
   She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Dean and Viloa Cunningham of Lake
Odessa; three sisters, 
Mrs. Mary Campbell of Grand Rapids, Mrs. Glendora Sears of Lake Odessa and Mrs.
Lilah Lundbery of Flint; 
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 16 (today at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion
Lutheran Church, Woodland  
with Rev. Timothy Rothfuss officiating.  Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
