Hasting's Reminder Sat. December 11, 2021

NANCY CUNNINGHAM
LAKE ODESSA-Nancy Mae Cunningham, age 92 of Lake Odessa, passed away peacefully 
in her home on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Nancy was born Oct.9, 1929 in Odessa 
township to Roy and Edna Winey. She was a graduate of Lake Odessa High school 
class of 1948. After graduation, she worked for Piston Ring in Hastings for a 
few years.

On Feb. 22, 1953, Nancy married Dale Cunningham and he preceded her in death on 
Aug.9, 2014. Nancy and Dale loved to travel - they visited all 50 states as well 
as several of the Canadian Provinces and cruised the full length of the Panama 
Canal.

Nancy was a homemaker, den mother of Cub Scouts, helper for Brownies and worked 
13 years in food preparation at the Lakewood High School. She was a member of 
the Lakewood U.M. Church, Lake Odessa Area Historical Society, Life Member of 
V.F.W. Post 4461 Auxiliary, Life member of Michigan Association of Retired 
School Personnel.

Nancy will be dearly missed by her children, Bill (Dean Londo) Cunningham, Carol 
(Thomas) Sprague) brother, Elmer (Delores) Winey; grandchildren, Thomas Sprague 
III,Michael Sprague and Katherine (Joe) Burke-McAllister.

Funeral services will be held at the Lakewood United Methodist Church on Friday, 
Dec.10, 2021 at 11 a.m. with burial at Lakeside Cemetery, Lake Odessa.

Memorials may be given to Lakewood United Methodist Church, VFW Post 4461, or 
Spectrum Hospice.
