M. Currier Passed Away At His Home Was Resident of Ionia County Since 1854 – Funeral Friday Afternoon. Myron M. Currier died yesterday at 4:50 at his home on West Lincoln avenue after an illness of seven weeks. Mr. Currier was an old resident of Ionia county, having come here in 1854 and settled on a farm in Easton. He was born in New York and came here when 16 years of age with his parents. He served for three years in the civil war as a member of the First Michigan Engineers and Mechanics and returning in 1866 was married to Miss Ellen Colton of Ohio. For many years they resided in Easton and on the farm in Ionia township north of Ionia. In 1899 he moved to the city, where they have since made their home. Mr. Currier leaves a wife, one daughter, Mae, a brother living near Ovid and an niece, Mrs. Fred Gould. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon from the residence, Rev. W. K. Spencer assisted by Rev. M. L. Marshall, officiating. Burial in Oak Hill cemetery. The G.A.R. will have charge of the service. Friends are requested to omit flowers.
