Sentinel-Standard - Thursday July 9, 1936

The death of James Curry, 63, occurred in Ford hospital, Detroit Wednesday 
afternoon, according to word received by friends here Thursday morning. Mr. 
Curry had been taken to Detroit from his home in Grand Rapids where he had been 
ill for some time.

Mr. Curry was a former resident of Ionia, the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. James 
Curry, whose home was on Union street. He left Ionia for Grand Rapids a number 
of years ago and had been a resident there since. He was an attorney and was a 
member of the Ionia county bar association.

The body will be brought to Ionia Friday on the noon Grand Trunk train and 
taken directly to Mt. Olive cemetery for interment in the family lot.

Surviving him are two sisters, Louise, of Grand Rapids; Rose of Long Island, N. 
Y., and one brother, John, of New York.
