Mr. Curtis’ illness dated from probably two or three years back. He was of a very fine character and a loyal Christian man. For many years he has been interested in a fine herd of registered Holstein stock and much of the milk has been used to supply the village people. As long as health permitted he was an active member of the Farmers Club. The funeral was held at the Methodist church Thursday afternoon. Rev. Showerman, the pastor and Rev. Mourer gave addresses and a quartet consisting of Leon Gilson, George Kart, Merlin Morgan and M. R. Wade furnished music. Burial was at Lakeside.
