Ionia Daily Sentinel – 18 May 1958
Mrs. Carrie E. Curtis, 80, died Thursday, May 17 at 8:30 at Belding hospital.  
The daughter of the late Nathan and Ann Winslow, she was born August 16, 1875 
in Easton Township, Ionia County.  Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Zada 
Courter of Saranac, Mrs. Josephine Benstead of Lansing, Mrs. Ione Edwards of 
Vassar and Mrs. Leona Humphrey of Ionia; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Leona Myers of 
Reseda, Calif; one stepson, Kenneth Curtis of Sunfield; eight grandchildren 
and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 at the Morris funeral 
home, Saranac, with the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating.  Interment will be in 
Saranac cemetery.
