Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Fri. July 7, 1944


Seymour E. Curtis, 80-year-old Easton township resident, died Friday morning at 
10:45 o'clock after a serious illness of three months. He was born in Ionia 
County September 23, 1963, and had lived most of his life here with the 
exception of a number of  years spent in Grand Rapids. His wife died many years 
ago.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Mina Underwood and Mrs. Purl Johnson of 
Ionia; two grandsons, Frederick Johnson, signalman second class in the United 
States Navy, not in active sea duty in the Mediterranean area, and Curtis 
Underwood of Ionia; a brother, Harry Curtis of Easton.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Boynton 
funeral home. Rev. George Woolcock, Pastor of First Baptist Church, will 
officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Easton Cemetery.
