Ionia Sentinel Standard, 2 Oct 1936

Funeral services for Melvin Curtis, of Grand Rapids, were held Thursday morning,
October 1, at 10:30 o’clock from the Stebbins funeral home, with Rev. George
Woolcock officiating.  Burial was in the Easton cemetery.  Music was furnished
by Miss Ethel Crispin.  Pallbearers were nephews of Mr. Curtis, and were Purl
Johnson, Bert Underwood, Glenn Thorpe, Kenneth Curtis, Victor Meyers, and Elton
Thorpe.

Those from out-of-town who attended were Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Curtis, Mr. and Mrs.
Earl Hackett, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Curtis, of Coopersville; Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Curtis and daughter and Mrs. Alice Curtis, of Grand Rapids; and Mr. and Mrs.
Glen Bemus and daughter, of Coldwater.
