Zella Arlene Curtis, 77, of Saranac, formerly of Lyons and Pewamo, passed away 
March 23, 2012 in Grand Rapids. She was born Dec. 3, 1934 in Lansing, the 
daughter of William and Clara (Mitchum) Forest. Zella married Russell Curtis 
June 11, 1962. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Zella is survived by her children Glenn (Rhonda) Curtis of Florida, Russell 
Curtis of Saranac, Paul (Joanna) Curtis of Carson City, Arlene (Ed) Finkhouse 
of Greenville, Barbara (Jack) Smit of Saranac, Patricia (Gene) Zander of Lyons, 
Dixie Curtis and Jan Powell of Greenville and Richard Curtis and Amy Scofield 
of Saranac. Brother Richard (Esther) Forrest of Fenwick and Sister Mary (Carl) 
Dalton of Hubbardston. Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren also 
survive. She was preceded in death by 3 grandsons, Brandon, Chuckie and Shaun, 
2 sisters, Emma Jean and Viola and brother Bud. Funeral services will be held 
Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Shiloh Community Church with Pastor Kenneth Harger 
officiating. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial gardens. Visitation will be 
at the Lake Funeral Home in Saranac on Monday 5-8 p.m. Those wishing may make 
memorial contributions to Shiloh Community Church or Saranac Fire Department
