Ruby M. Curtis
Ruby M. Curtis, 85, of 214 Academy, Portland, died June. 17, She was born Dec. 15,
1898 in Montcalm County, the daughter of John Grieve & Myrtle Rogers.

Mrs. Curtis worked as a school teacher before her retirement. She was a member of
the Portland United Methodist Church, Past Worthy Matron of OES No. 258, and a member of
the United Methodist Women.

Survivors include her husband, Russell; on son, Roger Curtis of Flint; one daughter
Mrs. Ruthann Ward of Glen Elleyn, Ill.; five grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 20 at Neller Funeral Home with Pastor James Rose of the
first Baptist Church officiating. Interment was made in River Ridge Cemetery.
