Services Held For Sarah E. Curtis
Mrs. Sarah Ellen Curtis, 97, passed away early Friday morning at Pennock Hospital, a
short time after admittance.

She was born February 19, 1870 in Barry county, daughter of Stephen and Mrs Branch
and was a lifelong resident of the area. She married Robert Curtis in 1888 and they
lived on her parents farm until moving to the present home about 15 years ago. mr. Curtis passed
away in 1956.

Mrs. Curtis was a charter member of the United Brethren church and was always active
in church work and organizations of the church.

Surviving are a son Ford of Lake Odessa; two grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.

Funeral service were held Sunday at 2 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with burial in
Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Raymond Flessner officiated.
