          SERVICES FOR DUANE A. CURTIS
   Duane A. (Duke) Curtis, of Lakewoods Mobile Home Estates, 1615 Tupper Lake Road,
passed away Saturday 
night at Borgess hospital, Kalamazoo from in juries sustained in a car accident near
Kalamazoo.
   He was born at Hastings February 8, 1953, son of Henry and Leona (Waldren) Curtis
and was a graduate of 
Lakewood High School in 1971.  He was a lifelong resident of the area and married
Lynne Berends, October 
19, 1974 at Lake Odessa and had been employed a a security guard at the Bradford
White Corp. at 
Middleville.
   Surviving are his wife; a son, Achilles and a daughter, Venus, both at home; his
father, Henry Curtis of 
Clarksville; his mother and stepfather, John and Leona Caylor of Lake Odessa;
maternal grandmother, Mrs. 
Mary Waldren of Lake Odessa; three brothers, Randolph (Randy) Curtis of Pewamo, John
of Lowell and 
Bradley stationed with the Air Force at Calumet; a sister, Mrs. David (Mary Jane)
Fry of Lake Odessa; nieces 
and nephews.
   Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel,
Lake Odessa.  Rev. 
Richard Sessink officiated with burial in Lakeside Cemetery.
