Lake Odessa Wave - July 2, 1970
          SERVICES HELD FOR FORD F. CURTIS
   Ford F. Curtis, 66, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday afternoon at Sheridan
Community Hospital.   
He had received injuries in a car accident near Stanton, Monday, as he was enroute
to northern Michigan on a 
fishing trip.
   Born August 4, 1903 near Lake Odessa, the son of Robert and Sarah Ellen (Branch)
Curtis, he had spent 
most of his life in the local area.
   He married Gladys M. Potter of Nashville, January 1, 1933.
   A barber by trade, he had operated shops at Lake Odessa, Woodland, Vermontville
and Detroit and at the 
present time had a local shop.
   Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. M. A. (Kay) Klein of Lake Odessa and
Mrs. David (Mira Lou) 
Klaver of Jenison and three grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held on Sunday at two o'clock at Pickens Funeral Chapel. 
Rev. Wilbur Williams 
officiated with burial in Lakeside cemetery
