Lake Odessa Wave - Thursday  July 3, 1952

RITES HELD TUESDAY FOR HAROLD CURTIS
Harold M.Curtis, 56, life long resident and farmer of route 1, died at Pennock 
hospital Sunday morning where he had been a patient since Tuesday. He had been 
in ill health a long time.

He was a member of the Central Methodist church, Charter member of the Farm 
Bureau in which he had served in various offices. Mr. Curtis was president of 
the Tri-County Electric co-Operative for five years and a board member of the 
company for ten years. He was also secretary-treasurer of the board of directors 
of the Wolverine Electric Co-Operative at Big Rapids for three years.

Surviving are his wife Elgie, three daughters, Mrs Lorraine Goodemoot, Miss 
Marian Curtis, and Mrs.Elaine Ayers of Lake Odessa. A sister Mrs Gaylia Tolles 
of Woodland, a brother Voight of Lake Odessa and seven grandchildren.

Mr Curtis reposed at the Pickens Funeral Chapel until Tuesday noon where taken 
to the Methodist Church where services were held at 1 p.m. with burial in Lake 
Side cemetery.
