LAKE ODESSA- Rowland J. Curtis, 80, of Route 2, Lake Odessa, died Tuesday at 
Pennock Hospital, Hastings.

Born Oct 22, 1905, in Odessa Township, he was the son of Fred and Ardella Black 
Curtis. He attended Nye rural school and was graduated from Lake Odessa High 
School.

He was married to Fannie Everett on July 20, 1930.

He lived and farmed in the Lake Odessa area all his life, was a member of the 
Farm Bureau, and of Central United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife: two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Carlene) Linder of Lake 
Odessa and Mrs. Robert (Rosalee) McDowell of Wyoming, Mich.; a son, Blaine 
Curtis of Lake Odessa; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a 
brother, Wayne Curtis of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:30 pm. at the Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake 
Odessa.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

Memorials have been established for the lake Odessa Ambulance or Pennock 
Hospital, in care of the funeral home.

The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
