Curtis “Hank”, age 85, of Clarksville, passed away on September 17, 2015 at his home in Clarksville. He was born on December 3, 1929 to William and Dolly (Kester) Curtis in Freeport. Henry worked as a factory worker for General Tire. On January 19, 1973, he married Mary Archer. Hank could fix anything, always willing to help people with their mowers and other small engines. He was also a master candy maker, especially fudge, peanut brittle and his peanut butter balls. Henry is survived by his loving spouse of 42 years, Mary; three sons, John Curtis of Saranac, Bradley (Sally) J. Curtis of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Robert Potter; daughter, Mary (David) Jane Fry of Lake Odessa; two sisters, Virginia and Joyce Curtis; along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephew. He was preceded in death by his father, William Herbert Curtis; mother, Dolly Hazell Curtis; son, Randy Curtis; son, Duke Curtis; nine sisters and nine brothers. A memorial celebration of Hank’s life will be held at the Jackson Mutchler VFW Post 4461 in Lake Odessa on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015 at 1 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Spectrum Hospice or Clarksville Bible Church.
