Russell Kent Curtis, age 70, of Saranac, passed away Aug. 24, 2007 in Ionia. 
He was born April 19, 1937 in Kent County.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Zella Curtis of Saranac; sons, 
Glenn (Rhonda) Curtis of Florida, Russ Curtis of Coldwater, Paul (Joanne) 
Curtis of Fenwick and Richard (Katie) Curtis of Saranac; daughters, Arlene 
(Ed) Allen of Greenville, Barb (Jack) Smit of Saranac, Pat and Gene Zander of 
Lyons, Dixie (Mark) Helsel of Greenville; sisters, Betty Ellis of Lyons, Helen 
(Carl) Snyder of Vickerville, Darlene (Frank) Heckman of Hubbardston; 26 
grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and several 
step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one 
brother, Paul; two sisters, Judy and Dixie and three grandsons, Charles 
Jeffery, Brandon Stewart and Shawn Jeffery.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Monday at Shiloh Community Church with 
Rev. Kendal Harger officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives 
Monday 9 a.m. until time of services at the church. Interment Sunset Memorial 
Gardens. Arrangements by Lake Funeral Home in Saranac. Anyone wishing may make 
memorial contributions in Russell's name to Saranac First Responders.
